Registration and Account Information
When you sign up for an account at Tip The Web, you choose a 3rd-party identity provider such as Google, Yahoo, Twitter, or Facebook. This allows Tip The Web to avoid requiring you to create a new username and password. Tip The Web uses internet standards like OpenID and OAuth to securely manage this process. When creating an account, and later when signing into your account, Tip The Web uses these standard technology to collect your name, email address, and optionally a thumbnail picture that you manage through the 3rd-party identity provider.
Tip The Web will collect your email address directly if the 3rd-party identity provider does not provide one, or if you wish to change your email address used by Tip The Web
