How-To Create a New Account

We want to make getting started with TipTheWeb as easy as possible, so here’s what you need to do:

  • Step 1: Sign-in to your Google, Yahoo, Facebook, or Twitter account and authorize linking it to TipTheWeb.
  • Step 2: There is no step 2!

We take your privacy seriously, find out more about our Privacy Policy.

Hey, where do I type a username and password?

Nowhere! We don’t want to make you remember another password. That’s why we ask you to use one of the external accounts already you have. It’s easier, more secure, and helps us to manage your account more efficiently.

Am I giving you my password for Google, Yahoo, Facebook, or Twitter?

Nope, not at all— we use OpenID and OAuth standards which are specifically designed so that the only place you type your password is on the website that hosts your account. When you sign-up with Google, we send you to Google to sign-in, then they send you back to TipTheWeb so we know who you are.
